We travelled to visit family with 3 adults, 2 kids (8 and 5) and a dog. Michelle’s place was perfect for us- the kids had an area to play both in and out of the house (video games, arcade games, pool, ping pong, projector with hot tub). It kept them entertained and happy for the entirety of our multi-week stay. The house had all amenities that we needed- pots, pans, coffee, tea, air fryer- if you want something, it is there. Additionally, we were able to do laundry as needed throughout the stay. The backyard was fenced, which was perfect for our puppy. Overall the neighborhood was quiet and located close to downtown. Maybe a 5 minute drive from any downtown location (try chocolates by Daniel) and the Burpee museum and discovery center. There was nice local pub, pizza shop, breakfast/lunch spot, and ice cream parlor about a block away. Finally, the hosts were super responsive at all times during the stay. Anything we needed was provided and they went above & beyond.

Our family instantly felt right at home and quickly settled in. If you’ve never played some of the oldie & goodie board games on a virtual table, it’s life changing!! Monopoly with a virtual banker where you don’t physically move your piece??? Crazy fun!! Just this alone will keep the kids entertained for hours/days. Loved the wood burning fireplace, the river view, spacious large dining table, decorated Christmas tree, comfy beds, literally everything!! So many places to gather, talk, visit and play. Dog friendly allows our furry family member to join as well. Host is exceptional !!! Already talking about coming back in the summer. A definite family favorite for us !!!

the place was great clean comfortable was well stocked with everything you would need from power cords to cooking equipment and personal hygiene items the hot tub was fantastic along with the arcade had a great time would definitely stay again and recommend this place

We enjoyed our stay at Michelle’s so much! She was extremely responsive, proactive during some intense winter weather, and had all the accommodations to host two families with children and pets! We would highly recommend, and hope to have her host us again in the future!

My entire family said this was the best (of many) Airbnb houses they've ever stayed in. I loved having the beautiful Rock River right outside, and the amenities were absolutely fantastic. The kids loved the game table and little arcade room, and we all enjoyed the massage chair and piano. The kitchen was well appointed and the electric Ninja grill out back made it easy to fix a small feast for us and our friends who visited. We loved the fire ring and there was plenty of firewood and Handy firestarters. The back patio was a beautiful place to hang out both day and night. Michelle was an incredibly responsive and gracious host and made some good local restaurant recommendations. She communicated proactively and thoroughly. all around, this airbnb experience far exceeded our expectations and we would HIGHLY recommend it for couples, families, friends, and including dogs. Fantastic stay!!!!!

We had a great time! The place is lots of fun, beautiful river setting and easy access to Rockford. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches - snacks, hot cocoa, coffee, charging cables - everything we needed and wanted!
